This dolly system is a terrific addition to any video maker and is designed to help you create more dynamic shots for cool videos. The loading platform is made of high grade black anodized aluminum and rides smoothly on high quality plastic wheels that come with 2 integrated bearings in each wheel, allowing you to achieve smooth movement at all times.
It’s easy to customize your track length based on movement that you want to achieve. In addition, the system is completely portable and allows for easy traveling. For example, you can avoid costly airline baggage charges when traveling and use affordable tracks found at your destination.
The total length of plate is about 8-1/4” (210mm) and the arm plus wheels is approximately 8 inches (205mm), which offers great stability. As seen in some of the pictures, these run best on a pipe with an outside diameter between 15mm and 0.8 inches (22mm). The outside diameter of the wheel is approximately 1.75 inches (45mm) in height and about 7/8 inches (23mm) in width. A DSLR has plenty of room to be mounted directly on the plate even without a ball head.
If you are on a tight budget, you can build something similar by purchasing just the CW3 wheels separately.
